In this hands-on class
students learn the basic skills necessary to create beautiful silver jewelry. Soldering, pickling,
filing, piercing, annealing, bezel setting and polishing techniques are
covered. A bezel set pendant project will be taught. Learn
from experienced and knowledgeable OGMS instructors. |

Greetings, and thank you for
your interest in OGMS Silversmith classes!
Registration is open as of
today, and I will accept registrants on a first-come basis. I will place you
in the class of your choice, space allowing. If you receive a class
position you will be sent, via email, registration materials and
instructions for remitting your class fee.
Because we have limited class openings for new students your class fee will need to be pre-paid in order to secure your registration. If your fee is not received within two days of registration your spot will be offered to the next person on the list.

This class is combined with intermediate silversmith class, it is a very busy and chaotic class. If you do not care for a busy atmosphere please consider choosing one of our other classes. |

For consideration of safety and order, positions for
three (3) new students are available per session. All additional class
positions are offered to returning students.
Class fee:
$35.00, may be paid in cash (please make cash payments in person) or by check.
Checks payable to OGMS. Sorry, we do not currently have a PayPal account
available for OGMS.
Materials fee: Because
silver prices have been climbing it may be $45.00 or more. Please note
that an additional materials fee for your first project(s) will be required on
the first day of class. This fee is payable to your
instructor. If you have your own silver sufficient to create a
cabochon pendant please note this when you are registering so that we don't over-purchase
materials.
The class fee is
non-refundable. It is recommend that you carefully consult your calendar to be
sure that you will be able to attend all classes. Do not register for classes
if you have vacation planned or other obligations that would keep you from
attending class. It is vitally important that the first class be attended
promptly and in its entirety as this class deals with all safety aspects. This
class cannot be made up. If you do not attend the first class you will
not be allowed to attend the session, and no refund will be made for your class
fee.

position, or to be placed on the current waiting list.
This process will be repeated
at the beginning of the next class session. Any persons put on the waiting list
for the current session will receive early notice, so that they will have
opportunity of first refusal to register for class before subsequent
candidates.
