Without these contributors there would be no Earth Science kits for the Kids of Ventura County. A “Thank You” is too small an expression of our gratitude.

American Petroleum Institute (A.P.I.)

Coast Chapter

A.P.I. is our largest sponsor. They have given us thousands of dollars to pay for the materials that build the Earth Science Kits and the printed materials that are included in the kits.

SAGE Publications

SAGE Publications contribution has paid for the printing and binders for our Teacher’s Manuals.

Jim Brace-Thompson

Jim Brace-Thompson wrote our manuals by himself, tested every experiment and has served given us as a guiding hand in all our endeavors.

Steve Grayson

The Earth Science Kits would have been a 30 year project if not for Steve. He brought A.P.I. on board and has been our liaison with them through the whole project. No one deserves more praise than Steve. He took the idea and gave it life.

Larry Knapton

Larry along with Norb Kinsler designed the Earth Science Kit. He has built most of them, himself.

Pro Motion Screen printing—Gary Kortz

Pro Motion Screen printing has donated all the printing for the lids of our Earth Science Kits and his fine work is responsible for the always commented on “Professional Look” of our kits.

Home Depot

Home Depot has given us a discount on our materials from the beginning of the project. They made it possible to stretch our funds as far as they would go.

Celite

Celite of Lompoc has contributed the Diatomite for our kits.

Thomas Hess—Thursday Mine

Tom Hess contributed our pegmatite samples from his Thursday Mine in San Diego County

George Collier

The George Collier Coal Mining operation in Spiro, Oklahoma made it possible for these California children to see what coal really looks like.

San Luis Gem and Mineral Society

SLGMS provided us with serpentine for the kits.

Willis Granite

Provided Oklahoma’s world famous red granite to our teachers program
