		Guests are always welcome at our meetings! They are held on the first Wednesday of the month (excluding holidays) at 7:30 PM. The format includes an educational presentation, followed by refreshments, and a short business meeting. February 1st

We will be having a presentation from our special guest speaker Dr. Robert Gray from University of California, Santa Barbara.

Dr. Grey will be giving a talk on the topics “Saber Tooth Cats of Rancho La Brea” and “Exodus Mammoths from the Channel Islands; The Last Great Extinction” . He will also be bringing fossils for us to see.

Ventura County is home to a wide range of fossils. The most complete Pygmy Mammoth ever found, was discovered in 1994, on Santa Rosa Island. In April 2005, a Southern Mammoth fossil was discovered in Moorpark during the construction of new homes.

Come join us in learning more about previous County Residents.
